We are seeing a dynamic, customer focused Sr. Manager to join Bank Tech Finance and lead a team of 2-3 analysts. This role provides an exciting opportunity to provide finance oversight and strategic guidance for Bank's Core Modernization journey and Discover Integration, two high visibility projects, in addition to the Tech organization servicing the shared platforms leveraged by our Retail, Small Business, and Commercial Banks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as a strategic advisor to business and technology leaders, leveraging financial insights to influence actions and outcomes.
  • Driving cross-functional projects with partners to deliver actionable insights and recommendations
  • Conducting scenario analysis to build compelling narratives that contextualize financial outcomes within business priorities
  • Developing and managing the annual operating plan for stakeholders

Roles require strong leadership, communication, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial analysis
  • At least 5 years of experience with financial modeling
  • At least 3 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
  • At least 1 year of experience with Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides
  • At least 1 year of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree in Finance
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • At least 5 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
  • At least 2 years of people management experience
  • At least 1 year of people management experience managing both direct and indirect reports
  • At least 3 years of experience with Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $170,800 - $194,900 for Sr Manager, Financial Analysis

Richmond, VA: $155,300 - $177,200 for Sr Manager, Financial Analysis

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
