Our HR Associate Relations team is looking for someone who is motivated, willing to take on new and challenging opportunities, and take initiative to make our most important asset - our people - work smoothly. As a Manager level Associate Relations Consultant, this individual will be responsible for providing strategic partnership, consulting with business leaders on Associate Relations metrics and proactively seeking resolutions to formal employment complaints. Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve manager and associate issues
- Resolve manager and associate issues by acting as a coach and providing guidance
- Help managers, associates, and business leaders reconcile conflicts and disputes
- Ensure all associates have an objective and knowledgeable resource at their disposal to work through challenging employment, performance and policy issues
- Partner with other departments such as Legal and Security to ensure legal and regulatory compliance while identifying solutions
- Review departmental case data to identify trends and recommend action plans for business units to implement
- Partner with the line of business Human Resources Consultants to enhance people manager capabilities
- Review policies and procedures that support the associate experience
- Act as role model and champion for Capital One values
- Participate in internal projects that improve processes that require partnership with cross functional teams and integrative problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of employment law and employment practices

Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
- At least 3 years of client management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Human Resources experience
- Human Resources Management certification(s)
- Knowledge of employment law and practices
- 5+ years of experience working in a team environment and collaborating with multiple stakeholders

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Remote (Regardless of Location): $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, Associate Relations
McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Manager, Associate Relations
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
