As a Market Data Senior Technologist, you will play a crucial role in managing, analyzing, developing, and optimizing market data solutions which drive key business decisions at Capital Group. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accessibility of Capital Group's third-party data sources while working closely with cross-functional teams and the business to enhance our research and trading capabilities that utilize market data. You have the innate ability to develop and build strong business partnerships using consultative approaches to understand, anticipate, and address business stakeholders' needs - ensuring successful delivery of positive business outcomes. You will be a subject matter expert on a diverse and dynamic team of technologists/engineers that analyze, manage, develop, and integrate market data solutions leveraging cutting-edge technology and data insights to provide our stakeholders with accurate, timely, and actionable market information, enabling them to make informed decisions and drive success.

  • You have at least 4 years of experience in leading large scale transformative initiatives with direct contributions to successful delivery
  • You have overseen the acquisition, storage, and organization of market data from various sources, ensuring data quality and reliability.
  • You have collaborated with IT and development teams to integrate market data into systems and applications using cloud technologies/services.
  • You cultivate an inclusive, collaborative work environment, including mentorship and guidance to junior associates.
  • You have technology vendor management experience and contribute to technology direction, guidance, oversight of vendor solutions and integrations, and stay current on industry best practices.
  • You are a continuous learner who seeks out stretch opportunities to build new technical skills and expand business acumen.

Required Skills & Experience

  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • You have hands-on experience working with: Python or other modern programming languages, REST APIs, SQL, and Cloud technologies (AWS or AZURE or GCP).
  • You are comfortable documenting complex technical information for collaboration with other technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience working collaboratively within an agile team.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with large volumes of data and data technologies (i.e. data lakes, relational DBs, Snowflake (is a plus)).
  • You are comfortable with troubleshooting issues at the user and platform level.
  • Financial services experience is a plus.

New York Base Salary Range: $123,999-$198,398

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
