Primary responsibilities/essential functions:
- Support the ongoing and periodic oversight and monitoring of risk and compliance limits with full access to investment-related systems.
- Assist in understanding, maintaining, and executing the CIMC Risk Management Process and Risk Policy, including the development and maintenance of fund risk profiles.
- Help coordinate risk reporting requirements for regulators by working with internal groups.
- Assist in addressing client demands related to investment risk management.
- Contribute to the development and provision of risk reporting to the relevant governing and oversight bodies

- Supports global investment risk management initiatives and respond to related queries. This can include technology developments to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of the function.
- Participates in relevant Fund Industry Community discussions on topics pertinent to the function
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Understanding of fundamental principles and measures of investment risk such as market, liquidity, credit and counterparty risk.
- Experience in managing risk management frameworks within an asset management firm is a plus.
- Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills with a diverse group of associates and senior business leaders.
- Demonstrates ability to plan processes and collaborate with a group or team to assure work is completed in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates ability to network and develop/maintain active relationships within and outside of the Group.
- Demonstrates ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity
- Knowledge of risk systems such as MSCI Barra or BlackRock Aladdin is a plus.
Core requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in risk management and/or risk reporting
- Bachelors in quantitative subject such as Economics, Finance, or Statistics is preferable.
- Able to speak and work in English
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
