As a Data Governance Analyst, you will play a hands-on role to propose, apply, and drive the adoption of Enterprise Data Governance standards to ensure accuracy, correct usage, certified data health, and issue resolution for critical data such that the data has clear accountability, and robust processes and controls in place so that it is fit for use. In the role, you will facilitate the adoption of enterprise data governance policies, processes, practices and procedures within Lines of Business, data product teams and initiatives, including the facilitation of the certification process for critical data as well as the creation and maintenance of the enterprise business glossary within Collibra. You will facilitate data governance issue analysis and solutioning, as well as manage small to medium data governance projects. You will be able cultivate relationships with the business, technology, and architecture teams to drive alignment to data governance frameworks in the delivery of foundational data excellence in Capital's data products. You will actively support the data steward community and work closely with Line of Business (LOB), Enterprise Data Office (EDO) and IT teams.

  • You have a working knowledge of the investment management industry.
  • You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • You have 3-5 + years of hands-on data governance and/or data management experience in a corporate setting and have an ability to apply learning to implement data management solutions.
  • You have working knowledge and implementation experience of data management solutions, master data efforts, and data modeling.
  • You have a working knowledge of general data management practices, including but not limited to data management standards and approaches, data quality management, data governance practices, data steward practices, and data sourcing practices.
  • You have a working knowledge of project management principles including a demonstrated understanding of project lifecycles and traditional project management activities.
  • You have working knowledge of process design and re-engineering.
  • You value interactions and managing relationships over following processes.
  • You enjoy collaborating with people, dissecting processes, and completing projects.
  • You apply strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • You bring exceptional quality and attention to detail to work deliverables.
  • You can effectively communicate (verbal and written) to various audiences, in order to drive change in change management initiatives.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $92,423-$147,877

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
