Data Center Infrastructure Analyst Sr

As a Senior Data Center Infrastructure Analyst, under general direction, you will play a cross-functional leadership role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and smooth operation of the data center and communication room infrastructure that support CG's business functions.

You will lead all phases of complex product engineering and operational lifecycles. This includes research/strategizing, requirements/planning, building/testing, and Run/Support. Develops and implements IT infrastructure solutions to support IT hardware requirements. You will Plan, design, and oversee the electrical and mechanical data center facility infrastructures required to support IT hardware platforms. You will manage and monitor IT and facility infrastructure use and capacities. You will be a point of escalation for complex and difficult operational issues to minimize outages to critical business functions and maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. You will be responsible for performing data center configuration management using workflow system and physical configuration management database. You will coordinate the daily workload across multiple data centers and provide oversight for corresponding managed services. You will guide and mentor junior data center infrastructure associates and analysts.

  • You ensure a general understanding of CG business and the role the specific technology plays in supporting the business.
  • You ensure an in-depth understanding of CG technology strategies and roadmaps.
  • You lead or actively contribute to technology planning efforts; lead complex solution projects and initiatives and manage the solution lifecycle.

  • You can translate complex business requirements into technology solutions considering alternatives and recommending complex solution designs for the product domain.
  • You are a primary team member and lead solution initiatives utilizing all aspects of the solution life cycle.
  • You are responsible for the management and feature prioritization of the product/solution.
  • You lead functional and non-functional requirements analysis.
  • You can lead and be consulted on complex or cross-functional root cause analysis to prevent the recurrence of issues.

Requirements:

  • You have at least 10 years of broad IT experience, with at least 2 years focused on data center infrastructure management, including facility mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
  • Fast learner, results-oriented, with thorough follow-through.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to write both technical and business-oriented communications.
  • Detail-oriented with a business and customer-focused mindset.
  • You drive solution design and build execution.
  • You can deal with ambiguity, manage complexity & drive for results, ultimately taking end-to-end ownership of the outcome.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a consultative style.
  • Desire to develop and apply leadership skills in a key role.
  • You can mentor and coach junior associates. Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field desired

Working conditions:

  • This role will participate in a rotating on-call duty that includes nights and weekends, or hours outside the normal business schedule.
  • Up to 20% travel may be required.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $131,596-$210,554

San Antonio Base Salary Range: $108,182-$173,091

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
