Well, we are looking for a Head of Business Operations who will have an outstanding opportunity to lead Calendly's Business Operations team, which will work closely with our executive leadership to lead critically important projects end to end -- from working on strategic planning and analysis, to communicating recommendations to Calendly's leadership team and working cross-functionally with our Product, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance teams on implementation. You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and be a trusted business partner to the executive staff, and other company leaders and guide the business to complete flawlessly.

A day in the life of a Head of Business Operations at Calendly

You will lead a hardworking crew of Business Operation professionals in solving for the business' largest cross functional challenges. You will have the stamina, passion, and expertise to jump from topic to topic with a broad range of collaborators from individual contributors all the way up to the CEO.

On a typical day, you will be working on:

  • Hire and lead a premier-class team of managers and associates to scale the impact of the Business Operations team
  • Own pricing function, including analysis, recommendations and execution.
  • Break down complex and ambiguous questions with a mix of analytical difficulty, customer insight, and input from internal and external authorities
  • Present your recommendations and debate their implications with Calendly's executive team
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to translate recommendations into execution
  • Drive annual and multi-year planning with executive leadership and Finance
  • Assist executive team in strategy formulation and plans for pivotal initiatives, including problem assessment, figuring out scope, building project plans, timing, owners, and roles and responsibilities, along with performance metrics to assess progress and success
  • Incubate new processes and roles
  • Collaborate with Analytics, Operations, and BizTech to create, build, and maintain data assets and analysis to run the business

What do we need from you?

  • Excellent at breaking down unstructured problems and synthesizing many disparate sources of information to deliver simple and thoughtful answers
  • Strong business judgment, with ability to think across every dimension of a business (Sales, Product, Marketing etc.) and work cross-functionally to deliver results
  • Executive-level interpersonal skills, including the ability to use verbal and written communication to express ideas clearly and succinctly
  • Highly analytical and metrics-focused -- can complete complex analyses, define KPIs, size opportunity areas, and measure and report on performance across the business
  • Ability to flex between analytical, strategic and operational aspects of the job
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership
  • Resourceful, curious, low ego, compassionate, and willing to learn from a wide range of people
  • 5+ years of people management experience, including proven track record to hire elite talent and build successful teams
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
