Salvaggio Academy, a private school in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is seeking a dedicated Senior Manager, Business Operations to oversee its operational and financial functions. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school environment, a managerial background, and a thorough understanding of basic financials.
This position is onsite and is a full time position.
What You'll Do:
Financial Management:
Collaborate with school leadership to develop the annual budget.
Manage financial processes, including budgets, vendor expenses, EITC/OSTC funds, grants, donations, etc.
Communicate with school families regarding financial matters, scholarships, and financial aid.
Assign scholarships and financial aid.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and school policies.
Operational Management:
Oversee school business functions, including, but not limited to administration, facilities, IT and food services.
Collaborate with school leadership to develop and implement strategic plans.
Maintain relationships with external vendors.
Manage supply ordering and inventory.
Assist families with scholarship and financial aid documentation.
Implement health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory reviews
Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
Oversee and manage school and staff compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Education mandated clearances, requirements, trainings, and certifications.
Ensure compliance with the National School Lunch Program requirements.
Conduct safety and fire drills.
Stakeholder Communication:
Facilitate communication between English and Spanish-speaking stakeholders.
Serve as the primary liaison for auditors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Professional Development:
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in school business management.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in education, business management, administration or a related field
5 years of work experience, preferably in education and/or business or operations management
Knowledge of financial accounting and experience managing operating budgets
Demonstrated management and leadership skills
Strong project and time management skills
Team player with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management and relationship building skills
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to be flexible and adapt and work collaboratively
Ability to be calm under pressure, especially in difficult conversations with parents and staff
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

Ability to lift 25 lbs.
The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000annually (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
