Job Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. This position will be full-time and hybrid in Trenton, NJ.

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs

  • Collaborate with business units and leaders across the EDA to define project objectives and scope and implement solutions

  • Work as a liaison between stakeholders and Dev Team for gathering requirements and user feedback. Also assist to increase transparency and communication

  • Understand business needs and translate into requirements/stories for the developers to design and implement

  • Brainstorm solutions, prioritize development roadmaps, and release solutions developed by the development team

  • Successfully deliver end products to the stakeholders while ensuring usage of those solutions

  • Own and develop relationship with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance our integration

  • Help design, document, and maintain system processes

  • Report on common sources of technical issues and/or questions and make recommendations to the product team

  • Communicate key insights and findings to the product team

  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer

  • Promotes teamwork and communication to encourage an interactive, cooperative, collaborative and customer focused work environment among division, EDA staff and external customers

  • Must complete annual and semiannual self-assessment as required

  • Performs other duties and special projects, as assigned


  • What You'll Need

    Required:

    • 7 years' experience as a Business Analyst

    • 5 years' experience developing and maintaining business and functional requirements documents

    • Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of user’s timelines

    • 5 years experience with Project Management tools, preferably Azure DevOps.

    • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills; technical, design and implementation skills

    • 5 years experience optimizing business processes and workflows for efficiency and effectiveness

    • Ensure clear and effective communication between business and IT teams.

    • Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies for proposed projects.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business goals

    • Continuously assess and improve business analysis processes and methodologies

    • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive analysis

    Preferred:

    • Experience conducting Facilitated Workshops for requirements analysis

    • Experience creating workflows using formal notation such as the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)

    • Knowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies

    • Experience developing business, functional, user (stakeholder), and quality-of-service (non-functional) requirements

    • Experience developing report specifications and Requirements Traceability Matrices

    Physical Demands

    • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

    • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

    • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
