We are currently seeking a motivated, detail oriented, and creative individual to join our Intellectual Property (IP) Sales team as a Staff Sales Operations Analyst. The role will report to the Corporate Vice President of Worldwide IP Sales and will work to support a variety of IP sales related programs and initiatives.

Position Description:

This position will provide critical insight and management over all aspects of operations for the IP Sales organization. You will analyze, improve, and manage key processes including business development, strategic guidance based on data analysis, forecast management, territory and account planning, and quota definition and distribution. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are required as there is regular interaction with sales team members and senior Cadence management as well as IT, finance, and operations personnel from other divisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Host weekly Sales meetings and manage the forecast rollup, opportunity accuracy, and reporting based on the Salesforce.com platform.
  • Build, run, and analyze reports and dashboards for sales users and management and in doing so provide insight into the business and make strategic recommendations.
  • Actively analyze opportunities for growing the IP business worldwide and work with sales team members and management to implement campaigns designed to convert these opportunities into revenue.
  • Work closely with cross-functional groups (Sales Finance and Business Unit representatives) to remove roadblocks to closing IP business.
  • Coordinate and plan periodic Worldwide Sales meetings - most, if not all, will be virtual.
  • Prepare materials used at business review meetings with Sales Management and Sales Finance on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Actively identify areas to improve existing sales and operational processes as the organization evolves.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, trust, and accountability.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in Business or Technology preferred.
  • Position requires extensive experience in business development and/or inside sales.
  • Position requires a understanding of the semiconductor and industry.
  • Position requires a minimum of 6 years' experience in the technology sector.
  • Previous sales operations, business analyst and/or finance experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills a must.
  • Ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced and ever-changing business environment with the ability to balance multiple projects at once and handle high priority interrupts.
  • Must be well organized and time sensitive to meet tight tactical timelines and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision. Has the confidence to ask for help with prioritization while also taking initiative without asking for direction.
  • Demonstrates intermediate to expert proficiency in the use of Salesforce and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel - structuring, analyzing, and reporting on large data sets, using pivot tables, etc. - and PowerPoint).

The annual salary range for California is $100,800 to $187,200. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
