The SVG team are seeking a Lead AI Software Engineer to join our team at Cadence Design Systems. As an AI Software Engineer, you will be part of a team which is responsible for developing and evaluating AI infrastructures for multiple Electronic Design Automation (EDA) solutions and projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of computational software and artificial intelligence, helping to shape the future of Cadence's innovative solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of Agentic AI infrastructures and features, while keeping high quality and performant deliverables.
  • Evaluation of both existing and emerging AI technologies and tools appropriate for specific EDA problems.
  • Reporting and documenting on AI processes and results.
  • Effectively communicate, learn from and educate other engineers in the theory and best practices of the application of AI.
  • Collaboration with both junior and senior colleagues, cross teams and external customers.

Job Qualifications:

  • Good degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python
  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of Software Development best practices and in OO Design principles and patterns.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a diverse/multi-cultural environment.
  • Curiosity, eagerness to learn, seek out and experiment with new technologies and tools.
  • A good balance of being self-motivated, independent, while highly collaborative, flexible and open to multiple points of view.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience or understanding of electronic design.
  • Experience developing in a Linux environment.
  • Experience dealing with customers & external stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills.
