Senior Manager, Public Relations
Location: CA
Employment Type: 90-day contract with conversion to full-time
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced, strategic, and agile Senior Manager of Public Relations to join our growing team. This is a high-impact role designed to evolve our PR function beyond content creation-focusing instead on strategic planning, execution, and measurable outcomes.
As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for identifying what's newsworthy, developing targeted media strategies, and delivering results that support our corporate and product objectives. You'll have the autonomy to shape the role to suit your strengths-whether leaning more into product communications, corporate/executive communications, or a blend of both.
This is an ideal opportunity for a mid-career communications professional with a passion for complex technologies and a desire to shape narratives that stand out in a competitive media landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated PR strategies that align with company objectives and drive meaningful media coverage.
- Evaluate internal content and press release requests to identify what has real news value, and determine how to best position and communicate key messages.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media, analysts, influencers, and key stakeholders.
- Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, and executive teams to ensure messaging consistency and alignment.
- Identify, shape, and proactively pitch compelling stories that break through industry noise.
- Translate complex technologies into accessible, engaging narratives for a range of audiences.
- Maintain a pulse on industry trends and emerging opportunities to keep the company's voice relevant and forward-looking.
- Thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment where priorities may shift quickly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in public relations or communications, preferably within technology sectors such as semiconductors, embedded systems, or EDA.
- Proven ability to develop and lead successful PR programs with measurable results.
- Existing relationships with relevant media and analyst contacts in the technology space.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute both large-scale initiatives and day-to-day activities.
- Strong editorial judgment and a keen sense for what resonates in the media.
- Excellent writing, messaging, and storytelling skills.
- Collaborative, proactive, and highly organized.
- Deep understanding of media relations, analyst relations, and PR best practices.
- A team player with a can-do attitude.
