Scientific Software Developer II – Molecular Modeling

In this position, you will be working at the cutting edge of cloud computing, Python/C++ development, and advanced MD simulation techniques to investigate the mechanistic details of passive membrane permeability of drug-like molecules. The team you will join includes several PhD level scientific developers with expertise in computational chemistry, statistical thermodynamics, and molecular modeling. We are also skilled C++ and Python developers, experts in code optimization, large-scale software infrastructure development and deployment. We enjoy discussing our science, software engineering, and the state and direction of the field.

What you should have:

  • Master's in Physics, Chemistry, Computational Biology or related field
  • 2-3+ years experience developing in modern scientific languages (Python/C++/etc.)
  • Strong background in statistical thermodynamics, and molecular modeling
  • Good people/communication skills and ability to work as a part of a team
  • Ability to work under a development schedule, balancing features with delivery

The following are a PLUS, but not required:

  • PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Computational Biology or related field
  • 3-5+ years experience developing in modern scientific languages (Python, C++, etc.)
  • Contributor to large scale scientific code base
  • 2-3+ years experience relevant to molecular modeling in drug discovery
