This position is within the Cadence Systems Inside Sales Team. You will engage with prospects and customers across various Cadence products, primarily focusing on Data Center sales. Additionally, your responsibilities will include Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), PCB design, RF/Microwave, Signal and Power Integrity, and other CAE workflows.
The Data Center Sales Development Representative is responsible for:
- Qualifying inbound leads, routing them appropriately, and executing the process for Cadence Systems software solutions.
- Following up on inquiries related to inbound leads, free trials, and cloud-based products from web visitors, trade shows, webinars, and other marketing activities.
- Creating and developing new business opportunities by generating qualified leads for the Cadence Sales teams through various channels.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as potential sales opportunities based on assigned target goals.
- Research, identify, and create new opportunities through targeted engagement with current customers and prospect accounts.
- Engage with prospects and customers via email and telephone throughout the lead lifecycle, entering regular status updates into the appropriate internal business systems.
- Identify client needs and suggest suitable products or services by scheduling meetings, appointments, and demonstrations for various sales channels.
- Generate and develop new business sales opportunities by qualifying inbound leads and presenting Cadence System product solutions to potential customers.
- Leverage marketing campaigns to develop and nurture leads effectively.
- Continually learn about product updates, features, and customer benefits.
- Communicate any improvements to internal processes for qualifying leads and enhancing system functionality.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Minimum Qualifications
- Location/s; San Jose preferred, other California locations will be considered.
- Bachelor's degree in ME (strongly preferred), Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a sales or customer relations environment, Data Center (preferred), other areas considered; Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), PCB design, RF/Microwave, Signal and Power Integrity, and other CAE workflows
- Proficiency in MS Office products; familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) and an understanding of the sales process.
- Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills, results-driven attitude, and a strong accountability for performance.
- Ability to multitask across various activities, cross-functional teams, and manage multiple projects while prioritizing action items based on business value.
- Honest, accountable, organized, and energetic.
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
