Cadence Design Systems Inc. is looking for a motivated Application Engineer to work with the Digital and Signoff Group (TFO-DSG) in Belo Horizonte. The Digital and Signoff Group (TFO-DSG) works with Genus, Modus, Innovus, Conformal, or Tempus, and provides technical support, enabling customers to effectively deploy our industry-leading technology, focusing on logical and physical implementation products. You will be in a team working with our customers to understand their needs and provide guidance on the best technologies and methodologies to enable their success, coming up with innovative solutions to address our customers' most challenging problems.

Job Description:
- Application Engineer on areas listed above reporting to higher management
- Provide technical support to customers and field personnel in any one of the areas: Logical synthesis, DFT, P&R, LEC, Power and Timing Signoff.
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide resolution to customer technical issues
- Run customer test cases to verify problems, create workarounds when possible, test and deliver R&D fixes.
- Close collaboration with R&D on issues using established protocols.
- Author application notes and help provide feedback on documentation
Minimum Requirements
- Complete Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and related areas.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- A strong interest in contributing to customer success with related technical interest in EDA, HDL's, and Logic Design.
Nice to have Skills
- Knowledge of Cadence digital tools would be a plus.
- Experience in scripting languages
- Exposure to RTL (Verilog or VHDL)
- Exposure to Synthesis or Place and Route methodologies
