Architectural Designer III/ Lockheed Martin- ORLANDO

Overview

BRPH is looking for an Architectural Designer III for our Lockheed Martin Facility location in Orlando, Florida. The Architectural Designer III will be responsible for assisting the project team in the application of principles, methods, and techniques of architectural technology by performing the following duties. 

 

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects. 
  • Attends client meetings.
  • Assists in the analysis of data to plan and design projects.
  • Prepares routine design computations and applies basic architectural fundamentals. 
  • Performs design of aspects of minor routine projects under direction of Project Architect, or responsible staff member.
  • Understands and utilizes architectural technical terminology.
  • Assists in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and permits for projects. 
  • May supervise daily tasks of junior staff.
  • Provides advice, guidance and mentoring for Drafting and Designer I level staff.
  • Provides technical support to other staff.
  • Proficient in AutoCad and Revit.
  • Ability to produce drawings in three dimension. 
  • Produces drawings and designs utilizing vendor’s and manufacturer’s catalog and technical data
  • Responsible for job specific standards, practices and quality as defined by operational standards.
  • Perform site/field investigations to collect data for designs, reports, cost estimates and inspections. 
  • Research discipline-related code issues and present interpretations. 
  • Assist project team in checking of work prepared by others utilizing Navisworks, BIM 360, or similar 3D format.
  • Provide coordination of all applicable project discipline’s drawings and specifications.
  • Promote communications, cooperation and quality among discipline and team members.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High-school/GED diploma and 6 years experience
  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 4 year’s related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years experience
  • Advanced in Auto-cad, Revit, Blue-Beam, and Microsoft Windows.
  • Possess an aptitude and exhibit skills for graphics, CAD and Architectural support.
