Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Vice President of Operations to join our Transfer Agency (TA) team with a focus on Stock Transfer functions. This strategic hire will bring deep industry expertise, strengthen leadership capacity, and accelerate team development. The right candidate will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, fostering a strong compliance and risk culture, and implementing initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and operational scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership
- Oversee execution of Transfer Agency services, ensuring operational excellence with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
- Establish and enforce effective controls to mitigate risk across sensitive client and regulatory functions.
- Ensure service-level targets and client deliverables are consistently achieved or exceeded.
- Drive Operational Transformation
- Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, implement process efficiencies, and advance the Transfer Agency's digital strategy.
- Partner cross-functionally to strengthen governance, workload balance, and automation opportunities.
- Introduce metrics and analytics to measure effectiveness, productivity, and client outcomes.
- Provide Leadership Continuity
- Act as a senior backup to the Head of TA Operations, ensuring seamless oversight and accountability during leadership absences.
- Share decision-making responsibility for critical regulatory, compliance, and client-facing issues.
- Elevate Team Capabilities
- Mentor and train junior staff to accelerate development in core TA functions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, operational resilience, and continuous improvement.
- Build knowledge depth within the team to reduce operational risk and dependency on a single leader.
- 15+ years of Transfer Agency or Financial Services Operations experience.
- Proven leadership in managing daily operations with high compliance and client sensitivity.
- Strong knowledge of TA functions, including recordkeeping, corporate actions, shareholder servicing, reconciliation, and plan services.
- Demonstrated ability to lead transformations, implement process improvements, and scale complex operations.
- Established expertise in regulatory and compliance risk management.
- Excellent leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills.
