Broadridge is hiring! We're seeking a Vice President of Resiliency. You will lead the identification and analysis of root causes for high-severity incidents and failed changes, producing executive reports for senior management and clients. This role develops and tracks resilience improvement actions, coordinates architectural assessments, and maintains a risk register for unresolved items. The VP collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure efficient resolution and prevention of incidents, strengthening the organization's overall stability and operational resilience.

Responsibilities:
- Correctly identify the root cause, technical severity of high-severity incidents and validate with the stakeholders of the incident. Identify if the incident was caused by a failed change and/or if the incident was caused by the actions (or inaction) of Broadridge associates.
- Produce and publish Executive Root Cause Analysis (eRCAs) for high-profile incidents for senior management and client relations.
- Correctly identify the root cause, technical severity of failed changes and validate with the stakeholders of the failed changes.
- Work with GCIS Tower Leads and Global Engineering CTOs to identify and perform Architectural Assessments on key and/or problematic applications or technologies.
- Identify, design, and track corrective, preventative, and proactive Resiliency Improvements Action Items based on Incidents, Failed Changes, and Architectural Assessments and ensure these Action Items are assigned to the correct technology teams.
- Follow the assigned technology team's prioritization, SDLC and/or project management processes to ensure the successful completion of the Action Items. Build and submit Business Cases for Action Items that require additional function.
- Maintain an Accepted Risk Register for Action Items that cannot or will not be implemented due business or technical limitations.
- Propose process improvements that would increase the automation and efficiency of Resiliency Improvements.
- Work closely with GCIS Tower Leads, SREs, Global Engineering, Incident Management, Change Management, Client Services, Service Delivery organizations to optimize processes and communications.
- May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar role and 15+ years of experience with commercial software in roles such as Application Development, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Incident Management or Problem Management.
- Demonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting computer operations at both a software and infrastructure level, including hardware, networking, operating systems (e.g.: Unix, Windows), databases (e.g.: Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL), middleware (e.g.: WebSphere, JBoss, ngnix), and custom built software (e.g.: Java, .NET).
- Solid analytical skills, especially in area of diagnosing issues and problems in computer systems and designing solutions to remediate and prevent recurrence.
- Ability to prioritize action items based on business importance with a continuous focus on aligning technical roadmap with the immediate and long-term Technology strategy.
- Experience designing, optimizing and automating business processes by working with various different stakeholders to provide transparency and efficiency to the process creating and track Resiliency Improvements.
- A passion for operational excellence, resiliency and robustness of computer environments.
- Strong written and communications skills for collaboration with various teams and upper management
- Strong and compassionate leader, able to manage and mentor a team of Problem Management professionals to grow and stretch their abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and be highly adaptable
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field or equivalent experience
