The Vice President of Facilities Engineering is responsible for the continued operation, maintenance, and improvement of 24x7 production facility sites (Edgewood, Coppell, El Dorado Hills, Kansas City, South Windsor, Urbandale, Markham) -ensuring they are safe, efficient, cost-effective, compliant, and supportive of business needs. This hands-on leader actively manages day-to-day building operations, repairs, capital projects, contractor relationships, team performance, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily operations, maintenance, repairs, and alterations of building systems (mechanical, electrical, structural, custodial, grounds, and more).
- Ensure facility is compliant with all local safety, health, environmental, and building regulations; maintain accurate inspection and maintenance records.
- Lead and develop a high-performing facilities staff-assign tasks, schedule shifts, provide training, and performance evaluations.
- Detailed knowledge and responsibility for maintaining critical infrastructure, including UPS, EPS, and HVAC, while ensuring that periodic testing and documentation of these systems are successfully conducted.
- Project management and responsibility for supporting large-scale infrastructure projects, overseeing facilities-related aspects of moves and closures, and conducting facilities due diligence for any prospective new facilities we may acquire.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for staff, vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities regarding facility matters.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage the facility's operating budget; authorize expenditures, control costs, and operational efficiencies. Responsible for development of annual Facilities Capital Plans and preparing formal capital approval requests for facilities related capital projects.
- Coordinate site-level projects such as office moves, space planning, small renovations, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Respond to emergency situations, facility-related incidents, and after-hours issues to ensure business continuity and safety.
- Implement sustainability and resource-efficiency measures aligned with company standards.
- Manage service contracts (cleaning, equipment, HVAC, etc.), ensuring high-quality and timely vendor performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of hands-on facility management experience
- Extensive Building Maintenance & Building Management experience, with a concentration on Tactical Execution & Strategic Planning (internal and external maintenance, repairs, alterations and new construction)
- Extensive experience with Data Center Mission Critical Infrastructure & Data Center Protocol
- Strong Technical Knowledge of the following mission critical building systems: Industrial Electrical Services / Electrical Distribution & Branch Circuitry / HVAC Mechanical / Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems / Emergency Power Systems / Pneumatic Systems
- Strong working knowledge of Trade Related Building Codes & Compliances
- Strong familiarity with Facilities Building Management Safety Practices & OSHA Compliance
- Strong familiarity of State and Local Environmental Compliances
- Extensive experience in Reading Blueprints & Schematic Drawings
- Extensive experience managing multiple building trade contractors & vendors at multiple locations simultaneously
- Strong Associate Leadership & Associate Development Skills
- Extensive Project Management experience, with a proven, successful track record in the management and oversight of large, multimillion dollar capital projects
- Substantial experience concerning Facilities related support of M&A's, Portfolio Location Consolidations, and Portfolio Location Disposals
- Extensive experience in the Development, Oversight, and Execution of multimillion dollar, annual Facilities Operating Plan Budgets for multiple, large, production related facilities in the U.S. & Canada
- Strong Financial Acumen
- Exceptional, oral, written and presentation communication skills to senior management and ELT
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suit skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel to operational sites as needed

Salary range $250,000.00- $275,000.00. Bonus Eligible.
