Technical / Professional Skills & Competencies
- SDL XPP Fundamentals or equivalent understanding of the XPP environment
- Working experience on stylized typesetting, XPP template creation and page composition concepts
- Codes to create Documents for filing and printing purpose, using XPP Applications
- Proficient knowledge of XML, CSS, XHTML, and XSLT
- Knowledge of PERL would be a plus (Not mandatory)
- Should have strong understanding of basic programming techniques, with proficient analytical skills.
- Create print deliverables from structured word-processing files, tagged graphics, as well as more regulated document types (such as XML and HTML) using XPP (XML Professional Publisher) as the primary composition system.
- End to end development working Experience in XPP platform.

- Applying XPP tags/functionality/transformations and macros to a supplied XML feed.
- Built customized codes (Tags & Macros) to meet the requirements of clients.
- Programmer engagement in development using Xyvision, XPP platform.
- Test and document existing code within the XPP (XML Professional Publisher) system, depending upon the requirements, as defined for various titles produced within the system.
- Monitor and manage the workflows within the XPP (XML Professional Publisher) system.
- Creating the document into client requested format and follow up on the documents to make changes and convert printable documents.
