- Respond to system problems and facilitate solutions for production support issues;
- Interact with the business users and other stakeholders to offer product/technology solutions in alignment with the business requirements;
- Manage all communication and interactions with clients, internal management, Development, Release and Quality Assurance teams;
- Troubleshoot problems and provide applicable solutions which require an in-depth knowledge of BPS platform;
- Analyze business requirements to prepare design documents;
- Liaise with Product Assurance and Product Management groups on various change-related activities on BPS platform;
- Create and setup Data Loaders, perform Data Load and Unloads between the Development/QA/Production environments, Jobs, Static data and other elements that are required as part of the new client development/enhancement requests in-line with Broadridge's internal methods and regulations which requires knowledge of in-house rules, processes and procedures;
- Ensure that all programs are written or revised in accordance with Broadridge Standard Manuals;
- Perform requisite QA/Production activities and support clients during the User Acceptance Testing (-UAT-) and provide technology and functional solutions to end users;
- Responsible for managing and improving technical performance and scalability of the BPS Product systems to meet client SLAs and handle volume spikes;
- Represent the Product Development group in the Client Focus group meetings. Answer client queries regarding the functional and technical aspects of the BPS products; and
- Work with technical support/Help Desk and Operations groups to meet daily SLAs between Broadridge's BPS systems and Clients' systems.
- This role expects analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Development and Maintenance of Mainframe applications with good knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS & VSAM.
- Good knowledge in mainframe technology – COBOL, JCL,VSAM, DB2, CICS
