We are seeking a dynamicLead Software Engineerto join our growing team. In this hybrid role, you will oversee the building and integration of cutting-edge applications into a complex corporate ecosystem, balancing direct technical involvement with leading and enabling a team of engineers. As a champion of our technology roadmap and a protector of our application's integrity, you will drive innovation, foster creativity, and manage relationships with business partners to shape impactful technology solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, robust applications, ensuring integration across the corporate ecosystem.
  • Act as a technical advocate, developing and communicating the technology roadmap within the engineering team and to senior stakeholders.
  • Guide and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate hands-on in technical implementation, code reviews, and troubleshooting on both front-end and back-end components.
  • Manage relationships and collaborate with business partners to define, develop, and implement technology solutions that improve business outcomes.
  • Oversee project delivery across multi-location teams, including integrations with legacy systems and third-party vendors.
  • Promote best practices in unit testing, continuous integration, deployment automation, and regulatory compliance throughout the SDLC (Agile and Waterfall environments).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Formal education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of hands-on development experience across the full technology stack, with both front-end and back-end responsibilities.
  • Prior experience with mainstream technology stacks; experience in OpenEdge Advanced Business Language is an asset.
  • Proven expertise in deployment tools (e.g., Terraform, Jenkins); familiarity with modern automation/deployment solutions is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex software projects with automated testing, reliable documentation, and regulatory considerations.
  • Experience working across geographically distributed teams and integrating legacy technologies.
  • Experience with the Canadian independent securities and mutual fund dealer sector is an asset.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and motivate others and drive technological change.
Additional Skills
  • Proficiency in unit testing, continuous integration, and automated testing methodologies.
  • Proven ability to deliver solutions in both Agile and Waterfall development environments.
  • Experience navigating a regulated business environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at strategy, planning, and stakeholder management.
