Broadridge is growing! We are seeking a Cost Basis Analyst to join our multifaceted BPO division on a contract basis.
Responsibilities
Perform analysis & reconciliation of stock record breaks, cash breaks, dividends, income reclass, corporate action data and cost basis data using systems such as BPS, Maxit, Geneva, and CBRS
Review and resolve tax file reconciliation exceptions for 1099 reporting and document the resolutions
Track and develop metrics to show progress and completion of data analysis and reconciliation
Ensure that the status reports produced are accurate, relevant, complete, and measurable
Analyze and identify operational processes for gaps, inefficiencies, potential duplications, and improvement opportunities
Define and deliver recommendations and solutions that address each process and technology component to ensure accurate Tax & Cost Basis data
Develop trending reports & standard benchmarks for metrics, providing guidelines for identifying issues
Assist in driving critical tax & cost basis project landmark achievement
Support creation, modification, and review of test plan and test summary documents
Assist in developing metrics that demonstrate the progress / completion of user acceptance testing
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
2+ years shown and progressive analytical experience in the financial services industry
Knowledge of Broadridge BPS, Maxit, Advent Geneva a plus
Knowledge of 1099s and 1042s reporting a plus
Knowledge of cost basis reporting a plus
Proficient in data analytical functions of Excel and knowledge of Word and Power Point
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of management and global teams
Ability to multitask and take ownership of complex issues
