Accounting Product Owner (Hybrid)

Product managers at Broadridge lead the development and execution of product strategy and roadmaps by working closely with developers, sales and marketing teams, clients, and industry stakeholders to define, design, and evaluate new features. In this position, with a focus on Broadridge buy side accounting, you will be accountable for guiding and realizing the product vision.

Determines customers' needs and assesses market competition by reviewing and analyzing the nature and scope of present and future product lines, product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product changes. Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with development and service delivery. Partners with Marketing to introduce and market new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production. Determines product pricing and completes operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Influence and lead the buy side accounting product journey to expand Broadridge's accounting capabilities.
  • Partner with engineers to craft and deliver accounting capabilities across Broadridge's public and private asset investment solutions.
  • Champion the Accounting product roadmap; build alignment of vision across Broadridge, clients, and industry partners.
  • Execute against the product development life cycle including, product roadmaps, requirements, specifications, and release notes
  • Stay ahead of industry, market, and technology trends to create opportunities for Broadridge and better serve clients.
Desired Qualifications
  • 3 - 5 year's work experience in product management, portfolio accounting, or investment fund accounting.
  • Experience with hedge funds, CLO investment structures, syndicated loans, and master feeder fund structures
  • Deep understanding of asset classes, accounting rules, and performance measurement
  • Familiarity with relevant accounting systems (e.g., Advent Geneva, Eagle, Aladdin, Finbourne, Clearwater or similar)
  • Understanding of investment lifecycle and US-GAAP accounting principle - knowledge of IFRS treatment is a plus.
  • Understanding of product and software development lifecycles, including interacting with product stakeholders, end users and software developers.
  • Ability to present complex conceptual ideas to senior stakeholders and execute against them.
  • Ability to prioritize, schedule and manage tasks effectively, problem solve independently, and manage business risk exposure.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, in addition to Jira and Confluence.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, computer science, or a related field.
Salary range: $125,000 - $140,000 per hour. Bonus Eligible.
