The Associate Director, EOHSS Audit, Due Diligence, and Third Party Assessment will be a remote position but will require consistent travel. The Associate Director will lead, direct and manage the performance of an audit team on a global basis through rigorous and objective environmental, health and safety (EOHS) audits that verify compliance of business operations for regulatory and corporate standards, in support of the One BMS partnership with our customers.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Review and apply the application of country specific rules and regulations.
  • Direct and indirect management of audits, audit team members and consultants. Identify and train team auditors according to audit scope and location.
  • Conduct meetings with participants from multiple locations related to audit pre-planning, action plan development and follow-up.
  • Develop scope and work plan for audits as well as solicit requests for proposals from contract audit firms.
  • Conduct opening and closing conferences for global facilities.
  • Timeline management of report issuance and paperwork management of all audit generated documents.
  • Interact with Global EOHS Staff to enhance audit scope and communicate with high level management on audit results.
  • Ensure confidentiality concerning site specific EOHS matters.
  • Travel Requirement: 50% - Willing to travel to multiple global locations

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of seven (7) plus years of functional experience & three (3) years of experience at a facilities level providing support to operation teams (research, pharmaceuticals, nutritional, medical imaging).
  • Knowledge of regulatory EOHS requirements in one or more countries where BMS operations are located.
  • Developed and implemented robust EOHS management systems and has hands-on direction of EOHS issues as they apply to major operating facilities of business functions.
  • Understanding of the balance between conducting an audit and maintaining the facilities production/operational capabilities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills required of a global position to communicate deviations from compliance perspective in a clear and professional manner.
  • Provide frequent feedback and coaching to peers and audit team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professionally recognized certification in one or more EOHS or EOHS auditing disciplines and have completed a professionally recognized audit training program.
  • Possess a basic understanding of pharmaceuticals or nutritional unit operations.

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $141,000 - $178,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the where the job is performed.
