What you’ll do
As a Relationship Manager for our Startups team, you play a pivotal role in the success and satisfaction of our Startup clients by providing the necessary resources, guidance and support. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a deep knowledge of Brex products, an understanding of the startup ecosystem and a passion for helping entrepreneurs and finance leaders achieve their goals.

Where you'll work
This role will be based in our New York City office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of two coordinated days in the office per week, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!
Responsibilities
- Client engagement and support: guide Startup clients through onboarding, build and maintain strong relationships, celebrate magical moments, and provide proactive support and problem resolution to ensure client satisfaction and success.
- Customized success planning: collaborate with startup founders and finance leaders to develop tailored success plans addressing their specific business needs and goals.
- Feedback collection and analysis: gather feedback from clients to continuously enhance services, monitor client progress, and measure success through key performance indicators and metrics.
- Resource connection and community building: connect startups and finance leaders with relevant resources, such as funding opportunities and strategic partners, while fostering a supportive and collaborative Startup and Finance community, through events and peer-to-peer learning initiatives.
- Measure and track KPIs: NPS, client use of Brex products, client retention, response times, referrals from existing clients, etc
- Develop a deep understanding of the Brex product set, have the ability to provide demos of the products and features
- Ability to increase utilization of the Brex product set by understanding the clients business and proactively identity solutions
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in customer success, account management, or a similar role, preferably within the startup or finance ecosystem or saas or banking industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive informed decisions and strategies.
- Experience using software tools such as: Salesforce, Looker, Retool, etc.
- Strong understanding of the startup lifecycle and common challenges faced by Startups.
- Have a strong passion for startups
- Have had sales experience, including carrying quota
- Location: This is a hybrid role, as you will physically be in-market and need to be based in SF or New York and be in office twice a week
Compensation
The expected OTE range for this role is $194,260 - $242,950. The starting wage will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. The OTE figure listed here includes base salary and commissions, which may or may not be earned depending on performance. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
