WHAT YOU’LL DO

We are looking for a Workplace Experience professional to ensure the successful daily operations of our San Francisco office. This individual will help drive the growth of our San Francisco team, as well as collaborate with team members across Braze in supporting the development of our global workplace operations initiatives. The Workplace Experience function is consistently growing and evolving and we are looking for builders--people who aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and can create structure in ambiguity. This role sits on the People Team and will report to the Workplace Experience Regional Manager over AMER.

Braze is a fast-paced and rapidly growing company that is looking for a self-starter who is able to exercise good judgment, take fast and proactive initiative, and think objectively to continuously improve our employee experience. You will have a consistent pulse on the needs of our employees in San Francisco and be comfortable changing course as global conditions and working environments evolve. 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as workplace site operations lead and run various site operations and workplace programs to ensure a seamless day-to-day experience (e.g. food, snacks, mail & packages, etc.)
  • Support all office operations, events, and employee onboarding, acting as the on-the-ground point of contact
  • Work with Workplace leadership and partners to uphold all safety and compliance guidelines for our San Francisco office
  • Oversee front desk operations, partnering with others for full coverage
  • Monitor and respond to workplace service tickets, maintaining a customer service mindset to ensure world-class standards and service levels for San Francisco employees
  • Oversee desk management, partnering across the Workplace Experience team to understand and support hybrid working
  • Collaborate with others to develop and manage initiatives, processes, tools, policies and playbooks related to workplace operations and programs
  • Partner and develop relationships with key business partners e.g. IT, Finance, Employee Experience, etc. and act as trusted advisor in workplace matters
  • Proactively build relationships with leadership and employees, working with manager to use data to understand the habits/needs of San Francisco employees
  • Support in vendor management, schedule repairs as necessary and help in ensuring we have the best in class suppliers with a lens towards diversity and inclusion
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for San Francisco building management
  • Partner closely with Procurement to ensure that quotes and new vendors are accurately onboarded, while pushing through proposals to ensure timelines are met
  • Support in the budget tracking for the San Francisco office
  • Work closely with the Employee Experience to be their onsite point of contact and coordinate internal events including office parties, company all hands, and industry meetups
  • Have a strong technical mindset, with an understanding of how technology integrates within the workspace
  • Be the point of contact for the remote IT team, assisting with basic troubleshooting with things such as MacOS computers, Printers, Google Meets hardware & helping the team troubleshoot onsite IT issues as a whole (being our local ‘turn it off & on again’ person) 

WHO YOU ARE

  • 3+ years of experience in Workplace role; experience as site lead a plus
  • Experience in change management, administration and vendor management
  • Experience working with building management
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization with an ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience with office moves and build-outs
  • Data-driven with a mindset of continual improvement
  • Demonstrated success in building strong relationships cross-functionally
  • A strong communicator, keeping teams and stakeholders informed and up to date
  • Passion for best-in-class workplace experience and customer service
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to set own priorities with minimal supervision; experience having remote manager a plus
  • A creative problem-solver, bringing innovative ideas and solutions to the table
  • A sharp eye for detail and a sense of office pride
  • An awesome, positive can-do attitude - no task is too big or too small
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 25 to 30 pounds
  • Familiar with Mac computer and GSuite

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $67,500 and $72,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $75,000 and $80,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
