About the Role:
bp Energy Retail Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager – Retail Supply to lead the execution and optimization of renewable energy programs and services for large commercial and industrial (C&I) customers in deregulated U.S. markets. You will be responsible for managing renewable PPAs, supporting Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) book management, and driving new product development in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Renewable PPA Management:
    Oversee management a portfolio of renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) across various ISOs. Lead deal structuring, contract execution, and lifecycle compliance.

Support RPS book management across all deregulated U.S. markets. Coordinate with internal teams to forecast, track, and reconcile obligations. Assist with REC procurement, retirement, and regulatory reporting.
  • Process Optimization:
    Identify and implement improvements in Renewable PPA and RPS management operations, deal workflow, and internal controls. Use data analysis and stakeholder feedback to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • New Product Development:
    Work closely with sales, legal, trading, and operations teams to evaluate and deliver new retail products. Present strategies to senior leadership and ensure organizational alignment.
  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Math, Business, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or similar)
    • 6–8 years of experience in a commercial or analytical retail energy role
    • Proven experience in retail energy supply, including ISO market knowledge (ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, ISONE)
    • Strong understanding of RPS regulations and REC management practices
    • Advanced skills in Excel VBA and SQL; Python preferred
    • Experience with ETRM systems
    • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex data and present to senior stakeholders
    • Experience mentoring or leading junior team members
