Job Description:

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven professional to originate, negotiate, and complete commercial and industrial power agreements, including load response and renewable energy contracts. This role will focus primarily on the PJM market, with opportunities to expand across other ISOs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate, structure, and close power contracts, with a primary focus on PJM and the flexibility to transact in other ISOs.
  • Manage the end-to-end customer sales process, cultivating strong relationships with both direct and select indirect clients.
  • Identify and evaluate new markets, distribution channels, and strategic counterparties to drive profitability and portfolio expansion.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with current market dynamics.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to executive leadership and external customers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with supply, operations, and billing teams to ensure exceptional customer value and service.
  • Monitor regional market and regulatory developments, providing strategic insights to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying and implementing standard methodologies.
  • Maintain a robust transaction pipeline in the CRM system, ensuring accurate reporting and performance tracking.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sales or business development.
  • Proven track record in commercial business development or customer acquisition within the energy sector.
  • Demonstrated success in closing sophisticated deals and driving revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of regional power markets and regulatory environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Recognized credibility and a strong network within the energy markets.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting business needs.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Location: : Preference for hybrid-based in Houston, TX or Chicago, IL but open to remote work anywhere within the US for the right candidate

How much we pay (Base): $130,000-$180,000 *Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.

This position is eligible for US Benefits – Core. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours[LC1] of vacation per year for full time employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
