Procurement Trainee

Milan, Italy

WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will join BCG Milan Travel & Procurement Team, providing administrative, analytical and strategic support to the team on all topics related to Procurement function. You will work closely with senior colleagues, under the supervision of Travel & Procurement Senior Manager, cooperating with other several corporate functions (e.g. Legal Team, Compliance, IT, etc) and external stakeholders (vendors, suppliers).

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Evaluating the risk profiles of new suppliers and determining necessary actions to protect company interests;
Collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g. Legal, Data Protection, IT, Compliance), to align contract terms with company policies;
Facilitating the onboarding of new suppliers by engaging with all relevant stakeholders and managing the flow of information to departments requiring services or products;

Assisting in the review, drafting, and negotiation of vendor contracts under senior team guidance to ensure adherence to company procedures and compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
Contributing to the development and maintenance of contract templates and databases;
Enhancing awareness among company buyers of guidelines to ensure frame contracts, statements of work, and GDPR documents are maintained accurately and completely;
Supporting in the transition to a new global procurement tool by collaborating with an outsourced team and applying an analytical and critical approach;
Participating in various new and ongoing local and global procurement-related projects.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

University degree, completed or ongoing, in Law or Legal Sciences or Economics (any previous work experience in a legal firm/role or in a contract management is a strong plus);
Very good communication skills, both written and oral, in Italian and English;
Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint;
Strong understanding of contract law principles and familiarity with applicable regulations;
Solid analytical approach, attention to details and accuracy;
Cooperative approach, ability to work in team and to manage relations at all levels, also senior ones;
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, moving from routine tasks to complex requests
Motivation to learn, proactivity, curious attitude;
* Open-minded and positive approach.

YOU'LL WORK WITH
Our business management and operations team members work to ensure that BCG is running smoothly, efficiently, and productively. We are made up of executive and administrative (or case team) assistants, visual service artists, receptionists, facilities staff, and the team leaders and office coordinators who manage these operations and business management jobs.
