WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Knowledge Senior Director (KSD) within BCG's Operations Practice Area, you will partner with leadership in shaping the strategic priorities for the Manufacturing & Supply Chain (M&SC) domain. You will enable value-added delivery on case work, content agenda and build business initiatives, leading a team of M&SC experts. You will drive the team vision, evolve the knowledge team business strategy and capability efforts via innovation in tools, offers, services. You will also be responsible for the talent growth and development.

Besides providing a distinctive expertise towards business build for M&SC Knowledge Team business, you will also be an active contributor to commercial campaigns, proposals and case work and present expertise in external events, building external reputation as an expert.

When settled in the role, you may also contribute to or lead global KT initiatives, beyond your own domain of expertise, and participate in global Career Development Committees as decision maker over promotions across all KT businesses.

The Operations Practice Area is one of BCG's functional practices and helps our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. The M&SC Topic Area is an expert network of knowledge team members and experienced consultants who help clients on specific cases related to the functions and disciplines within the topic (e.g., end-to-end supply chain optimization, manufacturing & supply chain strategy, network optimization, digital operations, lean production systems, logistics, quality and maintenance & production engineering.).

As a Knowledge Senior Director for the Operations Practice Area - M&SC in Europe, you will be:

Leading development and commercialization of M&SC knowledge and assets, aiming to innovate our offers and enhance our go to market approaches
Leading M&SC KT members in a highly effective manner, mobilizing experts to deliver on business priorities and commercial impact
Sharing deep expertise on problem solving and solutioning for clients and driving towards pragmatic solutions tailored to the business context
Acting as a highly effective coach and mentor, guiding team members to achieve goals efficiently and effectively

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Bringing distinctive knowledge to bear on complex client/case team problems and driving towards actionable recommendations
Providing strategic direction and leadership to grow a domain/topic/sector business via products, people, services
Operationalizing an entrepreneurial mindset, to innovate on services, tools and ways of working
Engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders, demonstrating senior expert presence, and credibility
Mobilizing and leveraging team to deliver high-impact work, managing priorities across multiple fronts
Providing effective leadership, guiding team members as a highly effective coach and mentor
Working in an ever changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

+8 years consulting experience required, with relevant case experience in Operations/Manufacturing & Supply Chain
In lieu of consulting experience, +10 years minimum industry experience required in Operations/Procurement
5+ years team leadership experience required (line management experience preferred)
Relevant experience in Industrial Goods (eg. Metals & Mining, Automotive, Petrochemicals, Agribusiness, etc.), Healthcare, Consumer Products and/or Energy sectors
Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
Specialization and deep expertise in Manufacturing and or Supply Chain, besides analytics and digital solutions skills on the field.
Fluency in English, Spanish; French and/or German desirable
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment

YOU'LL WORK WITH
As a Knowledge Senior Director, you will work closely with the Topic/Sector Leader in charge of your domain expertise and the Global Knowledge Business Senior Director of your practice area to further advance the knowledge business impact to the practice area and clients. You will collaborate with global leaders and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. Our team is made up of a diverse pool of knowledge positions that allow us to pursue exciting, innovative knowledge careers.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.

BCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
