WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Knowledge Expert (KE), Team Manager within BCG's Health Care Practice Area, you will deliver against the client and commercial priorities for the Payers, Providers, Systems, Services (PPSS) business. You will grow and deploy a team of topic experts to support case work, content development and business build initiatives. You will drive the IP/content agenda, with support from the team, and lead execution of Tier One and IP projects. You will be responsible for team's performance across all KPIs (case billability, quality, content creation, etc.).

Additionally, as a Knowledge Expert, Team Manager, you will engage with case teams & clients based on your individual expertise and demonstrate differentiated impact and value-add to BCG clients and case teams.

BCG's Health Care Practice Area (HCPA) helps companies grasp the strategic implications of changes in the market environment and exploit them to build competitive advantage. Our work spans organizations across the entire spectrum of the health care industry, including the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical technology, payers, providers, health care services and federal, state & local health care systems. This Team Manager position will be focused specifically on health insurance plans, hospitals, and health systems and health provider networks. The ideal candidate is passionate about all different segments of the health care services industry and the opportunity to help our clients to strengthen their competitive position in a changing market environment.
YOU'RE GOOD AT

Leading problem solving and solutioning for clients and driving towards pragmatic solutions tailored to the business context

Leading development and commercialization of knowledge and assets e.g. tools, topic materials, in the Payers, Providers, Systems, and Services business

Engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders, demonstrating expert presence and credibility

Leading projects in a highly effective manner, mobilizing team to deliver on business priorities and commercial impact

Acting as a highly effective coach and mentor, guiding team members to achieve goals efficiently and effectively

Working in an ever changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

5+ years consulting experience in relevant Payers, Providers, Systems, and Services topic required; candidates with consulting experience preferred
In lieu of consulting experience, 7+ years minimum industry experience required; 10-12+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
Specialization in Payers, Providers, Health Care Systems, and Health Care Services
Fluency in English
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment

As a Knowledge Expert, Team Manager, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. Our team is made up of a diverse pool of knowledge positions that allow us to pursue exciting, innovative knowledge careers.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.

BCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF), and a market leading benefits package described below.
