WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Knowledge Expert (KE) within BCG's Operations Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team. You will deliver against the client and commercial priorities for the Operations KT business, growing and managing a team of Procurement experts to support case work, content development and business build initiatives.

You will support business development and go-to-market efforts of the Operations Practice Area in Europe and potentially globally. While contributing to case teams & clients based on your individual expertise and demonstrate differentiated impact and value-add to BCG, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.

Additionally, as a Team Manager you will drive the IP/content agenda, with support from the team, and lead execution of investment projects. You will be responsible for team's performance across all KPIs (case billability, quality, content creation, etc.).

The Operations Practice Area is one of BCG's functional practices and helps our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. The Procurement Topic Area is an expert network of knowledge team members and experienced consultants who help clients on specific cases related to the functions and disciplines within the topic (e.g., procurement strategy, operating model, digital transformation, sustainable procurement, risk & resilience, etc.).

As a Knowledge Expert for the Operations Practice Area & Procurement business in Europe, you will be:
Leading problem solving and solutioning for clients and driving towards pragmatic solutions tailored to the business context
Leading development and commercialization of Procurement knowledge and assets, aiming to innovate our offers and enhance our go to market approaches
Leading projects in a highly effective manner, mobilizing team to deliver on business priorities and commercial impact
Acting as a highly effective coach and mentor, guiding team members to achieve goals efficiently and effectively

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Knowledgeable on Operations processes related to Procurement strategy, value delivery, and operating model
Engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders, demonstrating expert presence and credibility
Strong work ethics, service-mentality and willingness to showcase expertise
Ability to multi-task & operate effectively in a matrix organization
Collaborative, team player - including in an international, virtual communications environment
Flexibility and bring an entrepreneurial mindset, open for new things and able to propose innovative ideas
Working in an ever changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

+5 years consulting experience required, with relevant case experience in Operations/Procurement
In lieu of consulting experience, +7 years minimum industry experience required in Operations/Procurement
Relevant experience in Industrial Goods (eg. Metals & Mining, Automotive, Petrochemicals, Agribusiness, etc), Healthcare, Consumer Products and/or Energy sectors
Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
Fluency in English, Spanish; French and/or German desirable
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.

BCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
