Knowledge Director - Principal Investors & Private Equity

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Knowledge Director (KD) within BCG's Principal Investors & Private Equity (PIPE) Practice Area, you will be a key contributor towards the strategic agenda for the Sector/Topic. You will grow and deploy a team of 4-8+ Sector/Topic experts to provide value added support to the business and be responsible for team's performance across all KPIs (case billability, quality, content creation, etc.). You will also take ownership for the team's development and career progression.
Additionally, you will directly contribute to cases, proposals, client workshops based upon your own extensive experience in the domain. You will support SATT & Conferences, presenting expertise in meetings & conferences.
BCG's PIPE Practice Area works with the world's largest investment firms, serving six client asset classes: Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Infrastructure & Real Estate Funds, Family Offices, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Pension Plans. Likewise, PIPE topics cut across not only these asset classes, but also across industries and sub-topics (e.g., Commercial Due Diligence, Tech Capital, Private Credit, Operational Improvement, Middle Market, etc.).

YOU'RE GOOD AT

Leading problem solving and solutioning for clients and driving towards pragmatic solutions tailored to the business context

Leading development and commercialization of knowledge and assets e.g. tools, industry/topic materials, in relevant PIPE areas of expertise

Engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders, demonstrating expert presence and credibility

Leading projects in a highly effective manner, mobilizing team to deliver on business priorities and commercial impact

Acting as a highly effective coach and mentor, guiding team members to achieve goals efficiently and effectively

Working in an ever changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

7+ years consulting experience in relevant PIPE topic areas required; candidates with consulting experience preferred

In lieu of consulting experience, 8+ years minimum industry experience required; 12-14+ years of industry experience strongly preferred

Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)

Specialization in relevant PIPE topic areas

Fluency in English and German

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment

As a Knowledge Director, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.
BCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
