Global Diversity Equity & Inclusion Senior Coordinator

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Do you want to play an instrumental role in BCG's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda? We are looking for a DEI Manager who will lead transformational projects that progress our overall DEI strategy. You will work closely with the Global DEI Director, fellow DEI colleagues, and other BCG leaders to apply a wide range of DEI principles and to help continue to build and maintain momentum for change across the firm. We recognize the significant value that DEI can unlock-for individuals, organizations, and societies-and the need to do better.

In this critical role, you will lead efforts to embed DEI principles in career development, learning & development, recruiting, flex offerings and BCG sponsorship, thought leadership and events. You will focus on building relationships across our Consulting and Business Services cohorts and Specialty Business Units, identifying needs and providing solutions. You will be a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior BCG leadership. You will play a critical role in the strategic and day to day support of our DEI Affiliation Networks. The right candidate will have an ability to apply knowledge of best practices across race/ethnicity, gender/gender identity, veteran status, sexual orientation, religion and overall background and identity to increase diverse representation, equity, and inclusion at BCG.

YOU'RE GOOD AT
Problem solving and forward thinking. We focus on root cause, evidence-based solutions to advance DEI at BCG. You will need to understand intersectional aspects of situations, and design and apply solutions: acting on current needs, while having a vision for the future goal and roadmap. You will liaise with office and regional leaders, and work closely with DEI network leaders.
Building relationships and communicating with cultural adaptability. Strong written and verbal communication skills plus cultural adeptness are a must. You should be comfortable influencing senior executives and effectively tailor your communications across all levels of our organization.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. You will design ways to develop evidence-based ways of measuring progress and play a critical role in analysis of metrics. Ability to balance qualitative and big picture impact alongside quantitative analysis is critical.
Understanding the big picture, even when the work gets granular. Strong organizational skills are key, with an ability to handle, prioritize, and carry out multiple tasks independently.
Teaming and adaptability. You must be able to work and collaborate across the team to manage up, down and over without explicit reporting relationships. Managing collaboration and ambiguity when unforeseen circumstances arise is key.
Project managing large-scale people transformation efforts. This role involves planning, driving, and ensuring completion of various DEI projects and initiatives. For example, this could include executing large events such as network conferences or rolling out new initiatives to drive inclusive culture change or equitable people processes such as our flex initiatives, new affiliation networks, etc. Effective collaboration across various BCG functions, engaging and influencing stakeholders of various tenures across the firm is required.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of relevant work experience required.

Native Japanese and Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC score over 800)

DEI experience strongly preferred

Demonstrated impact within DEI at the regional/global level strongly preferred.

Experience with DEI best practices and demonstrated cultural/identity adeptness.

Relevant experience in change management and project management required - experience in culture change and people processes highly preferred.

Experience proactively taking initiative, collaboratively driving strategy, using good judgment to prioritize requests and working with minimal direction.

The tightknit team is spread across the globe and works closely with other People Functions Globally, as well as with Consulting Team leaders. the possible and applying creative solutions to business challenges.
