BCG's Transform practice - our turnaround, restructuring and transformation unit - helps business leaders deliver rapid, visible performance improvements in the short term while strengthening their organizations and positioning them to win in the years ahead.
Since BCG's establishment, we have supported hundreds of turnaround situations, and BCG Transform builds further on this strong heritage. It helps clients deliver rapid, visible performance improvements in the short term, while strengthening their organization and positioning them to win in the future - funneling the full breadth of our capabilities into a specialized offering tailored for special, high-urgency situations. This includes companies in stagnation or crisis and at points of discontinuity (such as change in new leadership and pressure from activist investors).
BCG Transform is a fully dedicated senior expert team on the ground, combining experienced BCG consultants with experts and senior advisors with previous proven CEO and C-suite experience; working shoulder to shoulder with clients. BCG Transform is able to take-on operational roles at the client and to provide interim management services through our external network when needed. It focuses on rigorous action and rapid execution to deliver immediate results.
What You'll Do
As a generalist Consultant/Project Leader or Principal affiliated to BCG Transform practice, you will be working alongside some of the world's top minds in the industry. You will work hand in hand with the decision makers of our client company, having a real seat at the table. Through your project you will accompany companies from a variety of sectors and industries through decisive changes around the globe. The majority of your time will be spent as part of the BCG Transform team composed of members of different backgrounds collaborating intensively and building a long-term relation with our client.
You will also dedicate time to further develop and deepen BCG's expertise in restructuring and turnaround, as well as supporting BCG Partners in business development initiatives. On a day to day basis this will translate in:
• Play a role in the growth of our BCG Transform operational and financial restructuring topic through case execution, client development, and intellectual property & product creation
• Execute, or provide expertise and support to turnaround projects in diversified industries with a focus on operational restructuring and short term performance improvement.
• Navigate and interpret financial statements to build situation diagnosis and short term action plan
• Identify and valorize short term levers & advocate their implementation to companies' decision makers
• Work jointly with BCG and client project teams, bringing expertise to the team and to the client on site
• Provide intellectual leadership for the project teams by generating key ideas and conceptual frameworks to guide research and analysis
• Actively support our business development efforts: client meetings, industry conferences
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
Over 7 years of work experience gained in a lateral environment with a focus on turnaround and restructuring topics
A track record of leading corporate and financial restructuring projects
Analytical and structured with excellent problem solving skills (hypothesis driven approach etc.)
Excellent communication and persuasion skills to interact and manage C-level stakeholders
* Excellent written and spoken French and English
