Senior Strategy Associate

Leadership/Team:

The Global Strategy team is responsible for the overall strategy of both Booking.com and Booking Holdings. The team has members in Amsterdam, London and the New York area, and we work collaboratively on initiatives across the senior leadership of Booking Holdings, Booking.com, Agoda, Kayak, and OpenTable.

Role Description:

As a Senior Associate you will support the setting the overall strategic direction of Booking Holdings and Booking.com, as well as defining the strategy for specific topics and key focus areas.

You will own specific workstreams and analysis where you will solve complex quantitative and qualitative analytical problems. You will need to think creatively, identify actionable insights from complex data and engage with stakeholders at all levels of seniority across the organization.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform in-depth research, draw insights and actionable recommendations on a wide variety of topics (e.g. travel markets, competitive threats and emerging technology trends etc.)
  • Perform quantitative analysis evaluating Booking and competitor performance using incomplete data requiring estimations and expert insight
  • Solve complex problems in collaboration with a complex stakeholder environment across Booking Holdings
  • Prepare high quality presentation materials for very senior audience (CEO, CFO)
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including product, research, corporate development, finance and marketing

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Highly proficient in quantitative analysis tools & techniques (e.g. google sheets; SQL or similar preferred)
  • Able to turn analysis output into into clear 'so whats', including high quality presentation materials
  • Can own a complex workstream (part of a project) effectively without any support / supervision
  • Can influence effectively up to Director level, and ideally beyond
  • Can collaborate with others in a highly matrix and complex environment
  • Likely has 3-6 years experience in strategy or similar analytical role
