Senior FX Product Lead

The role: The Treasury team is seeking a Senior FX Product Lead to join our global Treasury team. This role is pivotal in driving the development and optimization of analytical reporting capabilities, as well as shaping the Front Office Treasury Management System's architecture to expand and exchange Front Office capabilities.

The Senior FX Product Lead will be an integral part of the Front Office FX team within a centralized Treasury department that spans the globe and includes over 50+ team members. The ideal candidate will bring 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably from a large multinational corporation or a global bank with global FX trading capabilities, along with a strong understanding of Treasury management systems. The successful candidate will join a team of 10-12 Front-Office Treasury professionals who are collectively responsible for the management of all FX and Fixed Income activities, alongside Liquidity Forecasting for the Booking Holdings Inc. Reporting to the Senior Treasury Manager, the successful candidate should have a high attention to detail and be accustomed to working in a fast paced environment, while functioning collaboratively with various internal and external teams to successfully meet agreed deliverables.
The Senior FX Product Lead will be responsible for managing the internal architecture and requirements of the FX Treasury management systems, ensuring they are optimized to enhance FX hedging programs performance across multiple entities.
This role will also lead the design, development, and automation of FX analytics for the FX Front Office Treasury team, where applicable. They will be key in supporting the review of the Group's hedge effectiveness, improving the presentation and reporting of results to a wide range of stakeholders as well as assessing all inbound management queries. They will work closely with senior leaders in Finance to ensure that the Company's FX Hedging programmes run effectively and without operational errors.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Modelling optimal hedging solutions for various FX exposure types, including the determination of the appropriate treasury management system setup, including derivatives selection, strategy design and required tenors.
  • Maintain and continuously improve FX hedging analytics across all entities being covered.
  • Manage relationships with external FX counterparties and product specialists, including due diligence, FX trade monitoring, execution, and ensuring compliance of the selected hedging strategy with Group policy.
  • Make use of strong analytical skills to enhance and/or develop new reports, successfully introducing new FX tools and reporting systems.
  • Assist senior leaders in Treasury and Finance by performing in-depth analyses on FX and how this may impact liquidity based decisions.
  • Test, develop and implement new Foreign Exchange trading strategies and support execution across all current FX Hedging programs.
  • Support role in the execution of FX deals for multiple Group entities, in order to hedge foreign currency exposures, repatriate and fund cash accounts, and distribute local dividends.
  • Actively contribute to the team by identifying and proposing changes in both internal and external processes to increase compliance, efficiency and promote cost reduction.
  • Ownership and implementation of suitable SOX and business controls surrounding FX.
  • Actively share knowledge in the Treasury Department and wider business on FX related topics. Proactively identify FX risks in the business.
  • Represent Booking Holdings Inc. both internally and externally on FX related topics.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Capital markets experience, working on a trading desk for an institutional FX broker and/ or Corporate FX dealing desk.
  • Strong knowledge of micro and macroeconomic factors driving FX volatility, with the ability to translate these into risk-based decisions.
  • Proven experience in FX risk management, hedge accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience in modeling/optimizing FX hedging strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Familiarity with tools for data visualization and reporting (e.g., Power BI, Tableau,Python or Excel VBA).
  • Knowledge of regulatory and accounting frameworks relevant to corporate FX hedging.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful.
  • Solution oriented and result driven.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across geographies and functions.
  • Able to demonstrate relentless tenacity to drive business objectives and deliver results.
  • Strong Treasury Management systems knowledge; Clearwater Analytics, SAP S4 TMS, FXALL, FIS Quantum or similar and Bloomberg.
