The Marketing Specialist - Messaging is responsible for developing and executing global messaging campaign strategies to drive customer engagement, retention, and conversion. This role leverages expertise in direct messaging channels, such as email and push notifications, to manage end-to-end campaigns, analyze performance metrics, and optimize strategies to enhance customer lifetime value. Technical skills such as SQL proficiency are critical to onboard quickly and be independent in campaign creation and data analysis using our internal tools. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, this role directly contributes to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes end-to-end global CRM strategies for travelers through email, push notifications, and other messaging channels (i.e. SMS) in order to drive business growth as well as traveler engagement and retention.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including product, tech and data teams as well as external stakeholders, to develop and manage quarterly and annual messaging campaign plans in order to ensure consistency and alignment with business goals.
- Analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytical data from all messaging channels in order to identify trends, recommend optimizations, and ensure maximum campaign effectiveness.
- Creates and implements strategic messaging plans for specific customer segments, such as new, active, and lapsed users, in order to increase customer conversion and engagement.
- Manages the experimentation process from planning and development to scaling, in order to generate actionable insights that can be applied to future campaigns.
- Establishes and reports on key performance metrics for all campaigns and communications in order to track progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Partners with product, UX, and data science teams to identify and surface opportunities for initiatives that drive business results and secure buy-in from key stakeholders.
- Researches and implements emerging marketing technologies, including AI tools and automation platforms, in order to improve operational efficiencies and enhance the effectiveness of messaging strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:
- CRM Expertise: Proven ability to develop and implement CRM strategies, including lifecycle management, segmentation, and targeting.
- Project Management: Skilled at managing multiple projects and activities simultaneously, with a strong focus on planning, organizing, and prioritization.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent project management and communication skills to effectively lead multi-stakeholder projects and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) to independently conduct data analysis and visualization. Must be able to write and optimize SQL queries.
- Data-Driven Mindset: Experience with A/B testing and post-campaign analysis, with a "test & learn" mentality to continually monitor and improve business performance.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business objectives into clear creative strategies and use data to identify and lead growth opportunities.
- Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with leveraging emerging technologies, such as AI tools, to improve efficiencies and campaign results.
