The Decision Intelligence team - the Data Science & Analytics (DS&A) arm of the newly formed Connected Trip & Customer Intelligence track - is looking for its first Data Scientist to join our ranks.
This foundational role offers a unique opportunity to work horizontally across a diverse and evolving portfolio. You'll contribute to a wide range of impactful topics, including Connected Trip value and measurement, Customer Metrics, and broader Strategic Support initiatives.

As our first Data Scientist, you'll play a key role in shaping how we leverage Data Science to drive measurable impact. We're looking for someone who's eager to define the blueprint for Data Science within our team, bring structure to ambiguity, and help us unlock the full potential of our data as we scale.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Take ownership of both long and short-term Data Science models and outputs, including regular maintenance, performance monitoring, and stakeholder communication
- Develop and explore analytical approaches such as predictive modeling, behavioral pattern analysis, and causal inference to uncover insights and drive decisionmaking
- Deliver tangible business impact through data-driven solutions that align with the team's evolving objectives and strategic initiatives
- Identify opportunities where Data Science can unlock value - bringing structure to open-ended questions and driving actionable outcomes
- Support the team with high-quality responses to ad hoc analytical requests
- Play a role in establishing the Data Science foundation within the team - setting standards, best practices, documentation and paving the way for future DS team growth
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience working in dynamic, non-embedded DS&A teams with shifting priorities and broad scopes
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset - comfortable taking initiative beyond task execution
- Proven ability to deliver business impact in ambiguous problem spaces with minimal direction
- Strong business acumen with the ability to synthesize diverse data and communications into clear, actionable insightS
- Excellent communication skills: able to translate complex technical concepts into simple, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in core technical tools such as Python, R, and SQL
- Solid foundation in statistical methods in A/B testing, regression, classification
