Commercial Strategy Senior Associate

2 days ago Amsterdam, Netherlands

At Booking.com, data drives our decisions. Technology is at our core. And innovation is everywhere. But our company is more than datasets, lines of code or A/B tests. We're the thrill of the first night in a new place. The excitement of the next morning. The friends you make. The journeys you take. The sights you see. And the food you sample. Through our products, partners and people, we can empower everyone to experience the world.

The FinTech business unit at Booking.com aims to remove financial friction from the travel experience for both travellers and our accommodation partners.

The Commercial Strategy team is responsible for the overall FinTech strategy for Booking.com, as well as driving new financial products that reduce such financial frictions from an initial idea to go-live, ensuring we are well positioned for long-term success.

As a Senior Associate you will support the setting of the overall strategic direction of FinTech, as well as defining the strategy for specific topics and key focus areas.

You will own specific workstreams and analysis where you will solve complex quantitative and qualitative analytical problems. You will need to think creatively, identify actionable insights from complex data and engage with stakeholders at all levels of seniority across the organization.

In addition, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate new financial products from ideation, to investment case approval, development launch and eventual running the incubation of products once they are live - until they reach a scale big enough to hand over fully to the Product team.

Are you excited by the opportunity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution? Do you thrive in uncertain environments and see opportunities in change, rather than risk? Are you self-driven, proactive, and solution oriented? And most of all: a team player who is willing to guide, help and support the team?
