Role Description:
A Change Specialist is responsible for the planning and execution of deliverables to drive successful change adoption for the initiatives they support. This role will complete tasks such as designing and delivering change plans, creating communication and training materials, assessing change impacts and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders.

Change Specialists will lead on small scale and low impact changes and support on larger and higher complexity changes with support and guidance from a more senior change colleague as required.
They advocate change management processes and tools to remove barriers and resistance to change.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Change Strategy
- Solid understanding of a sub-department within a Business Unit. Understanding of the Business Unit and Booking.com.
- Identifies change impacts on a specific audience group
- Inputs in to change strategy
- Clearly explains change management concepts and principles to stakeholders new to change
- Planning & Execution
- Designs and executes simple and effective change plans and activities
- Supports the creation of new ideas and improvements for change management practices and activities
- Creates and manages feedback loops to track success of change activities
- Supports coordination with other teams to execute change activities
- Supports project/program management, where needed, by creating clear change roadmaps and aligning change activities with other program activities
- Audience & Engagement
- Engages with a broad range of stakeholders, with varying styles and priorities.
- Strong influencer in 1:1 environment. Supports with gaining buy-in and influencing Stakeholders
- Builds strong relationships within their team and with peers
- Actively listens and shows empathy and understanding to others
- Enable Storytelling
- Creates excellent and engaging content to support the changes
- Effectively tailors format, style and content to audience needs
- Problem Solving: able to identify and escalate change risks and issues
- Craft Contribution: proactively seeks to understand craft best practices and bring them into their work.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Basic understanding of change management approaches, techniques and tools.
- Emotionally intelligent and empathetic, with the ability to understand the emotional impacts of change on different stakeholders.
- Good listening skills
- Effective communicator with ability to build trusting relationships and influence multiple stakeholders.
- Effective communication in 1:1 and small groups (minimum 2-6)
- Strong influencer in 1:1 environment
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations and under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once in a fast paced environment.
- Has the ability to think creatively and analytically.
- Has a desire to grow personal change management skills through coaching and learning.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
