The Role:

As the Sr. Cyber Technology Network Engineer you will consult on a senior level and provide professional support for major components of the company's information security infrastructure. You will need to contribute to the development and implementation of security architecture, standards, procedures and guidelines for multiple platforms in diverse system environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will need to guide wide-area network and DMZ network segment engineering teams to deploy network threat detection and network forensics tools.
  • Oversee the cyber configuration of the network threat detection tools.
  • Ensure that tools are updated and follow vendor and industry engineering best practices
  • Guide the network engineering teams on the placement and tuning of packet capture technologies to support the cyber mission.
  • You will need to consult with the business and operational infrastructure personnel regarding new and existing technologies.
  • Recommend new security tools to management and reports and provides guidance and expertise in their implementation.
  • Review and analyse highly complex data and information to provide insights, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.
  • Define, implement, and apply area-wide security and/or COB policies and standards by leveraging in-depth knowledge of globally accepted information security and/or COB principles. Addresses high risk security concerns or incidents.
  • Recommend course of action to mitigate risk and ensures that appropriate standards are established and published.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred
  • 8-10 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
  • Experience with network security technologies, network engineering, packet capture, and intrusion detection systems
  • Experience with cyber threat hunting and SIEM Use Case development
