Overview

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Specialist, Production Services Application Support in Pittsburgh, PA to perform complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert . Perform root cause analysis and problem management to address underlying technical issues. Recommend technical solutions on application problems. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, or a related IT occupation. Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience must include: Utilizing programming languages, including Shell, Pearl, or Python to develop automated code migrations, custom application monitoring, and availability solutions; Deploying code migrations to development and production systems for multiple enterprise applications; Utilizing source code and configuration tools to manage application software throughout the development life cycle for multiple enterprise applications; Analyzing application architecture to design and execute application resiliency procedures for business continuity; Configuring application monitoring software for incident identification and early alerting; and Performing complex level two escalation troubleshooting on development and production systems for multiple Unix, Linux, and Windows applications by analyzing web and application layer logging through ad-hoc custom shell scripts, leverage application performance monitoring tools and techniques, and utilizing Oracle database debugging processes.
