We're seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Compliance & Control (J Grade) to join our FCC Data Analytics Team. This role is located in Chennai, CHE - HYBRID.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Develop and support the FCC Automation team on the various tools used in the bank
  • Contributes to projects and program tasks intended to improve compliance and enhance the control environment.
  • Analyses control processes to ensure they are following all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Reviews the appropriateness of control processes and may help guide the assigned business units in implementing improvements.
  • Continues to build working relationships with outside regulators, government officials and business unit managers to facilitate the timely delivery of information and increase the likelihood of favourable conditions for compliance activities.
  • Continues to gain experience preparing risk-based reviews of existing and emerging regulatory requirements, concerning issues and control gaps.
  • Contributes to the preparation of time sensitive reporting and appropriately escalates issues to more experienced professionals.
  • Contributes to the achievement of team objectives
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Statistics, familiarity with basic statistical concepts such as sampling methodologies, distributional analysis, etc.
  • good handle on data manipulation and analysis skillset.
  • coding skills in SQL, Python, R etc. Experience with tools such as Alteryx, Tableau etc. would help.
  • experience with JIRA tracking, excel skills, testing documentation requirements (documented test cases, screenshots, etc.) and with the Agile method to PM.
    Prefer financial crimes and/or compliance knowledge in the financial services industry, operations and/or related operational risk concepts.
  • Oral and written communication skills in English and the ability to understand compliance policies and process assigned tasks in accordance with procedures.
  • Bachelor's Degree or master's degree would be preferred; however, we are open to see applications.
  • 5-7 years of banking, product/financial services and/or auditing or operational risk experience would be preferred.
