Senior Specialist, Relationship Management

Overview

  • Independently develops the strategic plan for managing and growing existing client relationships.
  • Identifies opportunities to evolve client business for incremental account growth (revenue and balance).
  • Serves in a consultative role to the client, advising client top leadership on the best way to achieve short and long term objectives.
  • Manages overall relationship profitability of moderate to large-sized clients with increased complexity of strategic needs across a region or globally.
  • Develops significant expertise on industry trends, competitive landscape and client business environment. and proactively informs clients of industry developments and firm thought leadership.
  • Promotes firm services/product offerings that solve client challenges and achieve account growth.
  • Continually evaluates client needs and ensures sustained client engagement.
  • Develops, tracks and reports on relationship strategy/results for assigned client portfolio. Contributes to the development of team/unit metrics, dashboards and roadmaps.
  • Works closely with business development teams to ensure relationship management strategy is executed by account management and client service teams.
  • Researches client issues and bring to resolution.
  • Keeps abreast of client account activity occurring throughout the firm and often serve as the escalation point for client satisfaction.
  • Conducts service review meetings and assist in client training, sharing of market information/experience.
  • Contributes to the development of overall relationship management strategies for the unit.
  • May be assigned as owner/expert of a particular process or product.
  • Works with other relationship managers to help marshal functional resources to ensure client needs are being addressed.
  • Ensures client onboarding and risk management activities are conducted and captured. In some regional/local markets, may manage relationships with regulators directly.
  • Attends industry events and conferences and is able to travel as required.
  • No direct reports but expected to provide guidance to junior team members/colleagues.

  • Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • Fluent speaker of German language.
  • Sufficient years total work experience preferred. Financial Services experience with a particular client type or product (Hedge, Pension, etc.) preferred, as is prior experience in Relationship Management, Client Services or Account Management.
