We're seeking a future team member in the role of Senior Specialist, Production Services Application Support to join our DPG and Reporting Level2 Production support team within Shared Services Engineering (SSE) organization.This role is in Pittsburgh, PA - HYBRID.

As part of DPG level 2 and Shared Services Reporting team, the individual is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the stability of DevOps tools and Nexen reporting services that are run as shared services in BNYM.

Our production services team runs the systems that keep BNY Mellon running. Our mission is to deliver a full IT service management lifecycle across all run-the -bank application and Infrastructure support with the purpose of providing a controlled, secure and predictable production environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Review incoming alerts from monitoring system and identify correct response.
  • Lead investigation and resolution for incidents and engage required groups including Infrastructure support and application development teams as needed.
  • Perform forensic and root cause analysis for production issues.
  • Act as SME for answering any user questions around Nexen reporting and DevOps tools with BNY
  • Maintain service uptime and SLA Targets
  • Identify new opportunities to streamline and improve recovery solutions.
  • Identify repeatable manual tasks and lead efforts to automate.
  • Follow the LCAB process for all production changes and perform production implementation of these changes.
  • Provide knowledge and training to new support personnel.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. 8-10 years of work experience in the related area.
  • Required: Unix/Linux including shell scripting, SQL, JAVA
  • Preferred: Experience with DevOps tools like GitLab, SonarQube, Artifactory, CICD deployment best practices, Ansible deployment, experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk
