We're seeking a future team member for the role Senior Mainframe Developer to join our Asset Service Engineering team. This role is located in Pune, Maharashtra ABBREVIATION - HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Responsibilities
- Provides application software development services typically in a defined project.
- Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications based on the technical design and coding standards so as to deliver error free output.
- Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
- Define unit test cases based on the technical design/functional design in a way that is comprehensive and verifies accuracy of developed features.
- Execute the unit test cases defined so as to ensure error free execution in both the desktop and by deploying it in the development environment.
- Perform documentation of the code changes and unit test result
- 5 to 7 years of Mainframe Development Experience for India Resource
- Strong knowledge in COBOL, JCL, CICS and DB2
- Tools preferred are INSYNC, XPEDITER, SPUFI, ESP & ENDEVOR.
- Strong programming and analytical skills
Utilize local meetups to gain and share knowledge. Compiles documentation written by more senior developers of all procedures used in system.
Prior experience with using a specific application development toolkit and knowledge of a mainframe development language required (i.e. COBOL, DB2, CICS) Communications and organization skills; team work skills Contributes to the achievement of team objectives Modified BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/Requirements Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or at least 5 years of equivalent work experience required0-3 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
