We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Analyst, Middle Office to join our Middle Office Reconciliations team. This role is located in Manchester, United Kingdom.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Serve as a lead for the day-to-day operations of a Middle Office support team, providing work direction and technical assistance on complex matters.
  • Lead the daily activities of a Middle Office support team servicing multiple funds. Review data and assist in resolving escalated problems that may arise during the normal daily, weekly, or monthly accounting and reporting.
  • Supervise the tracking of fund data and trades, as well as the maintenance of records. Establish data maintenance and summarization processes and procedures to improve team efficiency and best support the Middle Office support team.
  • Search for fail points in processes and provides error reports to managers in compliance with established service level agreements. Review error reports from more junior team members and provides feedback.
  • Review for exceptions. If exceptions are found, confirms that internal and client procedures were followed, processing was on time and in line with FCC regulations and no unnecessary steps were taken. Check exceptions identified by more junior level team members. Dictate how the team handles incorrectly managed exceptions and enforces adherence to procedures.
  • Lead team in preparing system-generated reports. Set standards for team's report output to be shared with client teams. Coordinate review of reports and the sharing of reports with Middle Office teams. Reviews work of junior team members.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce audit and financial exposure and improve team efficiency.
  • Produce cash, asset reconciliations for collective investment vehicles ensuring timely and accurate delivery to agreed timetables and SLA standards and ensuring compliance with appropriate reconciliation standards.
  • Core work includes reconciling accounting and custody positional & transactional movements using internal systems, collation of supporting documentation.
  • Produce custom reconciliation reports in line with internal procedures and client expectations prior to daily/weekly/monthly deadlines.
  • Investigating, matching, and casing exceptions, generated via an online application, using internal and external systems and reports.
  • Review and understand both internal and external transaction reports to aid in reconciliation and exception management of client accounts.
  • Be aware of the risks of team operations and deliverables and ensure required controls maintained and procedures complied with.
  • Timely escalation of issues to management.
  • Complex query resolution and support of more junior team members.
  • Provide training and guidance (where appropriate) to less experienced co-workers.
  • Support direct manager with any ad-hoc tasks or ongoing projects.

  • Excellent technical and numerical skills, with accurate data manipulation, analysis & checking of work.
  • Ability to work in office & at home in hybrid working arrangement.
  • High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required, Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • 3-5 years of financial services work experience preferred; experience in accounting support or reconciliations roles preferred.
  • Experience in a Team Leadership role preferred.
