We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Analyst, Operations and Risk to join our Mellon India Ops team. This role is located in Pune, Maharashtra - HYBRID.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Pricing Support
    • Daily check of Aladdin prices to identify and resolve issues
    • Update missing or incorrect prices for Aladdin accounts using Refresh Tool
    • Coordinate with Middle Office teams on identified pricing issues through resolution
    • Own the Mellon Index trade cost monitoring process for fixed income
    • Investigate recurring pricing issues not addressed by the Middle Office Pricing Team
  • Collective Investment Trust (CIT) support functions, including:
    • Orchestrate various fee payments (e.g., custody, audit, record keeper, vendor, etc.)
    • Coordination of periodic distribution of cash in dormant CIT accounts
    • Assist in client onboarding activities for CIT and non-CIT accounts
    • Assist in retrieving fund and client level information required to fulfil global market documentation requirements
    • Support the US team in client transition events & in-kinds for CIT & non-CIT accounts
  • Oversight and governance of the Mellon-Dreyfus Desktop Procedure Program (US & Pune)
  • Draft and maintain role-related desktop procedures
  • Investigate and resolve Sub-FX currency trades outside tolerance ranges (EQ & FI)
  • Partner with Data Governance team on issue research and resolution
  • Create Aladdin reports for internal users (act as key report design expert for US team)
  • Help engage with US team on ongoing front-office operational and risk tasks and projects
  • Assist with new institutional fund/account onboarding tasks
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Hands-on experience in completing high volume daily tasks across a range of different functions, and identifying / resolving any discrepancies with stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience in producing reporting for stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Asset Management, operations, data, and/or operational risk processes would be an advantage
  • Experience of working with stakeholders. In this role the individual would need to understand business processes and demonstrate the ability to work with stakeholders to ensure processes are being completed as expected
  • The individual needs to be autonomous and comfortable in approaching business teams with queries and identifying anomalies.
  • An understanding of how to approach analysing data in current systems and document the relationships of business data that resides in multiple systems.
Education & Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 4-6 years of total work experience in finance or a related field preferred.

The resource will support the collective fund and client onboarding functions for Mellon. The person will provide additional support for work already existing today. The person may also assist in Risk Team support.
